Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each one of our team members has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. Kasia – Office Manager

Kasia has been in the dental field for over 25 years. Helping patients feel welcome and comfortable is very important to her. She uses her extensive knowledge of insurance to maximize patient’s benefits. Kasia moved to the Seattle area over 30 years ago from Poland. She and her husband have two adult children. She loves to spend time with her family and friends. Kasia enjoys hiking, running, yoga and long walks with her dog.

Nicole – Administrative Assistant

Nicole has always had a passion for teeth and has enjoyed going to the dentist since she was a young child. The dental field has always been her passion and she’s enjoyed the front office atmosphere since 2008. Getting to know her patients and helping them get the care they need is her goal.

Nicole has one daughter and a crazy dog named Maxx. She enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking in the kitchen and never misses a Seahawks game!

Valentina – Dental Assistant

Valentina graduated from Clover Park Technical College in 2011 earning her Dental Assisting Degree and has been with South Sound Dental Care since 2012. She is very passionate about what she does and loves coming to work knowing that she can make a difference in someone’s dental experience. Valentina moved to Washington over 20 years ago from Ukraine. She has two beautiful children that keep her busy when she is not working. During her free time she enjoys snowboarding and traveling. 

Carri – Dental Hygienist

Welcome, I’m Carri, a registered Dental Hygienist with 27 years of experience. I have been with South Sound Dental Care since 2014. I have a science degree and obtained my hygiene degree from Clark College. I am dedicated to providing excellent care to my patients while helping them improve and maintain their oral health. You will never hear the dreaded “lecture “from me. My philosophy has always been, praise the accomplishments no matter how small and if you should happen to slip I will steer you back on course. I am an avid traveler with hopes of checking Bali off my always growing list. I have a 14 year old son who has become an excellent travel companion. I love gardening, live music, interior design and spending weekends at our mountain cabin enjoying all that the PNW has to offer. Every Saturday in the fall you’ll find me tail gating wearing my purple and gold. Go Dawgs!

Sakhun – Dental Hygienist

Sakhun has always been active in community service in Tacoma at a young age. She was a member of the Eastside 4-H club and Metro parks. She wanted to choose a career in which she can still give back to the community and continue to help others. Sakhun received her degree in Dental Hygiene at Seattle Central College in 2014. She has a passion towards helping her patients improve their oral health in which contributes to their overall general health.

During her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, running, and riding her mountain bike.  She also loves to cook and travel to new adventurous destinations.

Chris - Dental Assistant

Chris has been in the dental field for over 38 years and enjoys getting to know her patients and providing comfortable care. She has two beautiful children and two lovely grandkids that keep her busy.

When she isn’t at the office or spending time with her grandchildren she may be out rollerblading or working out.

Kiaya - Dental Assistant

Born and raised in Washington, Kiaya went to South Puget Sound Community college where she earned her dental assisting license from the National Board, holding both a RDA/CDA license. She joined South Sound Dental’s team in 2018. She has always cared about oral health and enjoys sharing her knowledge and importance with her patients.

Bonnie - Dental Hygienist

Bonnie began her dental career in 1974.  After fifteen years working as a dental assistant, she decided to enroll at Pierce College and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program in 1993.  While new to South Sound Dental, she is not new to caring for patients in the Tacoma area.  Throughout her years, Bonnie has learned the importance of a gentle hand and prioritizes keeping her patients comfortable when in her chair.  Outside of dentistry, Bonnie is dedicated to time with her family.  She enjoys traveling with her husband, cooking with her daughter, and doing just about anything with her granddaughter.  In addition to her love of family, Bonnie is an avid quilter and passionate about giving back to her community.
